Skin Cancer Screening, Biopsy, Cancer Removal & Reconstruction
Skin cancer comes in all shapes and sizes and is the most common form of cancer in the United States. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, over the past 30 years, more people have had skin cancer than all cancers combined.
With the intense, long summers in Oklahoma, we are at high risk for skin cancer. Putting sunblock on our faces every morning is an excellent first step, but it is just as important to reapply throughout the day with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30. (Dr. Tedesco recommended).
Regularly checking your skin is also a way to prevent skin cancer. If you see a new, changing, or unusual skin growth, get it checked.
Dr. Tedesco, Kimiko's owner and Medical Director, can screen for skin cancer, biopsy, and perform cancer reconstructive surgery. He treats patients for sun damage, pre-cancer removal, or removal of warts or moles of concern.
Cancer Reconstruction
Dr. Tedesco specializes in the removal and reconstruction of many types of skin cancer such as basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Both can be very dangerous and destructive.
