Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used to treat brown spots, sun spots, redness, and spider veins on the face. It also can improve texture, pore size, and active inflammatory acne. The pulsed light penetrates deep into the skin targeting the melanin in the brown spots and hemoglobin in the blood vessels and denatures it. The denatured melanin comes to the surface and flakes off and the blood vessels are destroyed.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Following treatment, slight redness may occur. The brown spots will become darker until they flake off. This may take a few days up to up to 2 weeks. The vessels may become darker as well. This is usually a series of at least 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.
