Chin filler can be used to help with a recessed chin. Having a recessed chin affects the facial profile by causing the upper lip and nose to look more pronounced. If this is the case, dermal fillers such as Voluma® and/or Juvederm Ultra® can help. Filler creates volume in areas that are lacking and can sculpt a more prominent jawline and chin and balance the profile.

Since the chin is one large muscle, Botox can also be injected to relax the muscle and elongate the chin. This helps the texture of the skin and improves the horizontal line that can be created when the chin muscle pulls up.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Prior to your injections, you will meet your provider for a comprehensive consultation. You will be provided a customized treatment plan that maps out where and what products are best for you.

During your appointment, before photos will be taken and a topical numbing cream will be applied. When the injection process begins, ice and other distraction techniques are used to ensure the most comfortable experience possible. Typically, it takes 15-30 minutes to complete your injections. Results are immediate and the reveal is our favorite part!

After your injections, you may experience bruising, swelling, redness, and tenderness at the injection site that may last from 24 hours to two weeks. Icing the area will help improve these side effects. You will be given post care instructions to take home and we will schedule a follow up appointment in two weeks to assess your results.
